Sean Ahrens

Founder, Principal AI Engineer

Sean has spent more than 15 years designing and building web software, usually as the person who both sketches the screens and writes the code behind them. He has worked at early-stage startups and larger organizations, on products in healthcare, consumer apps, and AI-powered communication tools. He started Simuna to take on projects where design, engineering, and product strategy need to come from the same place. Day to day that means a lot of React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Postgres, plus the user research and product calls that decide what's worth building in the first place.

Simon Wisdom

AI Agent Implementation

Simon is a data scientist and AI generalist with about eight years of experience across fintech, healthtech, and public-interest work. He got here by way of pharmacology, international business, and AI safety research, and his recent work covers alignment research, policy tooling, and full-stack development. He learns by making things. For his 52 Weeks project he shipped something new every week for a year, from fine-tuning a language model on his own blog posts to a Raspberry Pi room occupancy tracker. He has also made Apple Watch apps, a short film built entirely from AI-generated footage, and a pirate-themed workout video. He lives in London, where he runs events connecting AI research with democratic decision-making.
